Mom and Danielle's Visit
I'm going to try to keep the pictures in chronological order. My mom and sister arrived on February 21st, a Tuesday. They stayed in my apartment for three days in order to fight jet-lag and to see where I live and to do daytrips to other towns in the area. They didn't have the best flight in. They missed their connecting flight in Paris and were stuck there for four hours. When we finally got to my apartment, they were absolutely exhausted. They rested the first night. The second day we walked around my town just to see the sites. We didn't get to the ancient part of town, but you know how shopping is always much more fun. We got back to my apartment and I made them lemon pepper chicken with veggies and mashed potatoes (Danielle did the potatoes :) ) On the third day, we went to Grenoble, the Olympic city of 1968. We walked around in the fog and cold, and we took a gondola to the top of the mountain just to see if there was anything to see. We went back to the apartment early to pack up for our journey the next day. I made French bread pizzas and we relaxed and played Rummy 500 for the rest of the night.
